Nick, Darwinian evolution would first have to qualify as science in order to be falsified!
‘Before you can ask ‘Is Darwinian theory correct or not?’, You have to ask the preliminary question ‘Is it clear enough so that it could be correct?’. That’s a very different question. One of my prevailing doctrines about Darwinian theory is ‘Man, that thing is just a mess. It’s like looking into a room full of smoke.’ Nothing in the theory is precisely, clearly, carefully defined or delineated. It lacks all of the rigor one expects from mathematical physics, and mathematical physics lacks all the rigor one expects from mathematics. So we’re talking about a gradual descent down the level of intelligibility until we reach evolutionary biology.’ David Berlinski Science and Pseudoscience – Imre Lakatos “nobody to date has yet found a demarcation criterion according to which Darwin can be described as scientific” – Imre Lakatos (November 9, 1922 – February 2, 1974) a philosopher of mathematics and science, , quote as stated in 1973 LSE Scientific Method Lecture
Dr. Hunter, There was also a 8.6 earthquake over near Indonesia as well today. 8.6 put it in the top ten most powerful earthquakes since recording started.
You forgot "Therefore evolution is falsified. Religion drives science, and it matters."

ReplyDeleteThanks, I didn't realize a top-ten quake occurred in that swarm!
DeleteActually it was an 8.7 quake (though it doesn't matter that much). But it did have and aftershock of 8.2 - pretty powerful.
